Application from IHI NY LLC d/b/a ILILLI, for a small unenclosed sidewalk café at 236 5th Avenue with 4 tables and 16 chairs
WHEREAS, IHI NY LLC ("Applicant") has submitted an application seeking permission to install and operate a small seasonal unenclosed sidewalk café at 236 Fifth Avenue, to consist of 4 tables and 16 chairs; and
WHEREAS, Applicant has received the required Certificate of No Effect from the Landmarks Preservation Commission; and
WHEREAS, The hours of operation of the proposed sidewalk café are: Monday- Wednesday 12:00 noon-10:00 PM, Thursday-Friday 12:00 noon-11:00 P.M, and Saturday- Sunday 12:00-10:00 PM; and
WHEREAS, The proposed sidewalk café has a minimum of 12 feet of sidewalk space for the entire length of the sidewalk, and the address is zoned for this type of seasonal café; and
WHEREAS, Applicant has experience operating another entity in the Flatiron District, ILILI BOX, which has exhibited no issues and garnered no complaints; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, Community Board Five recommends approval of the application from IHI NY LLC d/b/a Ililli for a small unenclosed sidewalk café at 236 Fifth Avenue.
