Shiloh Consulting LLC request for approval to add an outpatient chemical dependence program to its current services provided at 214 West 29th Street, Suite 703
WHEREAS, Shiloh Consulting is an article 31 OMH outpatient center that has been providing individual and group counseling for four years at 214 West 29th Street, Suite 703, a commercial use building, without incidents; and
WHEREAS, 70% of Shiloh's client base is referred out to substance abuse counseling; and
WHEREAS, Shiloh requests approval to expand their program to include substance abuse counseling under the state licensing authority — the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS); and
WHEREAS, Shiloh's current services are limited to counseling and psychotherapy with an approximate client population of 250 individuals – mostly court mandated clients; and
WHEREAS, The chemical dependence program would be offered to the current client base and will be limited to counseling and psychotherapy; and
WHEREAS, Shiloh currently has a small staff around 10 part time and full time employees and additional staff will be hired for the new program; and
Whereas, Shiloh currently operates during normal business hours and with the new program, will extend services until 7pm and may include Saturday hours; and
WHEREAS Shiloh is a small program that is looking to better service their client population with in-house substance abuse services; and
Whereas, neighbors were notified and no complaints or concerns were heard by the committee; therefore be it
RESOLVED, Community Board Five recommend approval of the application submitted to add outpatient chemical dependence counseling to Shiloh's current services at 214 West 29th Street.
