55 East 54th Street, Koureli Restaurant Group Inc. d/b/a Nerai – application for an unenclosed sidewalk café.
At the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of Community Board Five on Thursday, April 10, 2014, the Board passed the following resolution by a vote of 33 in favor; 0 opposed; 1 abstaining.
WHEREAS, Koureli Restaurant Group Inc. d/b/a Nerai is applying for a new unenclosed sidewalk café to be located at 55 East 54th Street (between 5th and Madison Avenues); and
WHEREAS, The proposed sidewalk café would including 4 tables and a total of 8 chairs; and
WHEREAS, The sidewalk café would allow for more than 9 feet from the curb for unobstructed pedestrian traffic; and
WHEREAS, The applicant agreed to sidewalk café operating hours of not earlier than 10:00 a.m. and not later than 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and not later than 12:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday; therefore be it
RESOLVED, Community Board Five recommends approval of the application for an unenclosed sidewalk at 55 East 54th Street.
