29th Street Repertory Theater Inc., single block event on 33rd Street, between 6th and 7th Avenue on Sunday, August 12
WHEREAS, The 29th Street Repertory Theater seeks a permit to hold a single block event on 33rd Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues on August 12th, 2012; and
WHEREAS, The applicant seeks this permit as part of the celebration of the Theater's 25th anniversary; and
WHEREAS, The proposed event would have staging and amplified sound; and
WHEREAS, The Theater participants would use the stage to perform selected scenes from past shows; and
WHEREAS, The event would have 5 to 10 food vendors as well as merchandise vendors; and
WHEREAS, The event is to be held from 10:00am to 4:00 p.m., with set up beginning no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and breakdown completed no later than 6:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, This is a one-time event and will not be considered a grandfathered street event in the future; and
WHEREAS, The event is being produced by Mardi Gras Productions, an experienced street fair producer; therefore be it
RESOLVED, Community Board Five recommends approval of the 29th Street Repertory Theater's single block event on 33rd Street, between 6th and 7th Avenue on August 12th, 2012
