Grand Central Street Fair, application to hold a street fair on East 43rd Street between Madison and Vanderbilt Avenues on July 22nd, 2012
WHEREAS, Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services has applied for an application to hold a street fair on East 43rd Street between Madison and Vanderbilt Avenues on Friday, July 22nd, 2012; and
WHEREAS, The block in consideration is not a through block and has relatively low vehicular traffic; and
WHEREAS, The applicant has reached out to local businesses for their consent and had has offered those businesses free participation in the event; and
WHEREAS, The applicant is an experienced manager of street events; and
WHEREAS, The applicant has agreed that this is a one-time event and should the applicant apply for the same event next year, it will be considered a new event and not treated as a traditional or 'grandfathered' event; therefore be it
RESOLVED, Community Board Five recommends approval of this application for a street fair on East 43rd Street between Madison and Vanderbilt Avenues on July 22nd, 2012
