The Equus Projects' proposal for a choreographed performance in the North Plaza of Union Square Park on Thursday, June 7th, 2012
WHEREAS, Equus Projects has submitted an application to conduct a two-hour performance in the North Plaza of Union Square Park on Thursday, June 7th, 2012; and
WHEREAS, The performance will take place between the hours of 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, with set-up beginning at 11:00 AM and breakdown completed by 3:00 PM; and
WHEREAS, The performance would feature movement installations by visual artists and dancers, supporting a non-profit arts awareness organization, and would be free of charge and open to the public; and
WHEREAS, The performance would work in conjunction with Greenmarket vendors, but not occur during Greenmarket operating hours; and
WHEREAS, The applicant displayed willingness to work with committee suggestions in planning the event, and has the support of the Union Square Partnership; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, Community Board Five recommends approval of Equus Projects' proposal for a choreographed performance in the North Plaza of Union Square Park on Thursday, June 7th, 2012.
The above resolution passed by a vote of 35 in favor; 0 opposed; 1 abstaining.
