Roy Galvan's application for Xombie Concert, a live performance in Union Square Park on Sunday, August 26th, 2012
WHEREAS, Roy Galvan has submitted an application to present a live performance by the music group Xombie in Union Square Park on Sunday, August 26th, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Xombie is a rock and hip-hop band based in NYC; and
WHEREAS, The performance would take place between the hours of 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, with set-up beginning at 12:00 PM and breakdown completed by 5:00 PM; and
WHEREAS, The applicant will apply for an amplified sound permit with NYPD, and agreed to limit the performance to two 50-minute sets of music, with a break between sets; and
WHEREAS, The applicant has agreed to move to the North Plaza of Union Square Park and not to sell merchandise at the event; and
WHEREAS, This event is free and open to the public; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, Community Board Five recommends approval of Roy Galvan's application for a live performance by Xombie in Union Square Park on Sunday, August 26th, 2012.
The above resolution passed by a vote of 35 in favor; 0 opposed; 1 abstaining.
