School of the Future, Gramercy Neighborhood Association, new applications for single block street events
At the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of Community Board Five on Thursday, March 13, 2014, the Board passed the following resolution by a vote of 36 in favor; 0 opposed; 1 abstaining:
WHEREAS, Community Board Five has received new applications from School of the Future for a street event on 22nd Street between Park Avenue South and Lexington Avenue on Saturday, May 10th and Gramercy Neighborhood Association for a street event on Irving Place between 14th and 15th Streets on Saturday, September 13th; and
WHEREAS, These two events were approved in previous years by Community Board Six, but their application is registered as new in Community Board Five; and
WHEREAS, The principals and/or sponsors for these events failed to appear to answer questions and discuss their applications; therefore be it
RESOLVED, Community Board Five recommends denial of these two applications.
