Application from AWESTRUCK Marketing Group on behalf of Purina for a marketing event in Bryant Park on May 15th, 2019

WHEREAS, Sean Oakley of AWESTRUCK Marketing Group on behalf of Purina (“Applicant”) has submitted an application to hold Purina - Pioneer Woman ("Event"), a marketing event, on the 40th Street Plaza of Bryant Park on May 15th, 2019; and

WHEREAS, The Event will take place between the hours of 10 am and 6:00 pm, with set-up beginning at 12:30 am and load-out completed by 11pm; and

WHEREAS, The Event's footprint will consist of a 30’ x 30’ designated but open area that will include a ranch-style display to resemble the home of Ree Drummond, aka the Pioneer Woman, a chef personality on The Food Network, and will feature a photo area which invites guests to pose with their dogs against imagery of Ree Drummond's kitchen; and

WHEREAS, Purina will be releasing a specialty line of dog treats that are curated by Pioneer Woman, samples of which will be given free of charge to members of the public who are with their dogs; and

WHEREAS, Purina will not be selling or distributing any products at the Event other than the free dog treats; and

WHEREAS, The Event will also feature a small dog corral, to make the public aware of a partnership with the North Shore Animal League that will invite attendees to adopt a dog on-site; and

WHEREAS, Seven brand ambassadors will be on site at the Event, but will not remain within the
parameters of the enclosed area; and

WHEREAS, The Event will not have any amplified sound, and extremely minimal signage; therefore, be
it

RESOLVED, Community Board Five recommends approval of the application from Sean Oakley of
AWESTRUCK Marketing Group on behalf of Purina for a marketing event in Bryant Park on May 15th,
2019.
