BSA # 2-15 BZ, 31 West 19th Street, Chelsea Fitting Room LLC, application to operate a physical culture establishment on portions of the cellar and first floor.
WHEREAS, Applicant seeks a Special Permit from the New York Board of Standards and Appeals to operate as a Physical Culture Establishment, at 31 West 19th Street; and
WHEREAS, The establishment will be operated as Chelsea Fhitting Room, a two room fitness studio with minimal equipment and there will be no heavy weights, thread mill, or other equipment; and
WHEREAS, The premises is situated on the street-level, and a portion of the cellar of an entirely commercial building with an entrance on 19th street; and
WHEREAS, The establishment would occupy 1,700 square ft. in the cellar, 2,625 square ft. on the first floor; and
WHEREAS, The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m; and
WHEREAS, The operator will be fully compliant with ADA requirements and accessible from the street level; therefore be it
RESOLVED, Community Board Five recommends approval of this application for the Special Permit for PCE operated by Chelsea Fhitting Room at 31 West 19th Street.
